Collection. wonderful lot of Confederate & Union covers, both stamped & stampless with postmarks of Williamsburg or Williamsburg related, included is seven stampless covers postmarked Williamsburg with "Paid 5" markings, five covers with Williamsburg "10" "Paid" or "Due" markings, one with New Orleans "Adv. 1" boxed handstamp, some of the stampless covers with military addresses or return addresses, two covers franked with Confederate States #1, plus one cover & one fragment franked with Confederate States #2, two incoming Confederate stampless, a wonderful descriptive letter home from a Union Soldier describing the Battle of Williamsburg, I was not hurt but came very near it three or four times by having shells explode close to me. I had one rifle ball put through my clothes., two Post War covers with "Williamsburg" double circle postmark, one with colorless embossed corner card of Williams & Mary, few small faults, F.-V.F., a wonderful lot for the specialist.
