4083   German Area collection, 1872-2002. A wonderful mint & used collection without semi-postals housed in two Scott specialty albums, predominately mint, however some useful used is included, many better booklet panes, overprint, perf & shades varieties are present, the collection commences with a valuable range of mint Eagle issues including #3, 6 & 10. The Germania Issues are well represented including #210, many fascinating Inflation issues and varieties are included such as inverted & doubled overprints, shade varieties including a rare block of 4 of #310b, the collection is virtually complete from 1900 onwards with most better items, many of the later issues contain perf and overprint varieties & much, much more, mixed condition, however the over all quality is far above average & most stamps have been hand selected, careful inspection will repay (2001 Scott $13,397+++, plus a host of unlisted Scott items).
