1880 Copy Of 1860 28 page letter from Jennie Dunbar to her
father dealing with her travelling to Virginia to speak on behalf of Aaron D Stevens, one of the men involved in the raid at Harpers Ferry with John Brown. It was thought that if someone who really cared for Stevens came forward and spoke on his
behalf at his trial his life may be spared, obviously it was not. This copy done in 1880 by Edith Brown, the granddaughter of John Brown. An amazing account of this moment in history. Comes with a transcript of the letter. (Image1) (Image2)
