2137 / c, entire, etc. imageJohn Ineson Scout Collection: 1957 Scouts, two registered covers to Manchester, sent (1958 (Mar. 28) from Ahmadi and (Mar. 27) from Mena-Al-Ahmadi in Kuwait respectively, both bearing Muscat Jamboree stamps with Kuwait 1957-58 1n.p. on 5d. pair and 3n.p. on 1/2d.. Stamps for Kuwait were not issued in view of the agreement with certain Arab countries to boycott the World Jamboree on account of the Suez incident. The stamps were only issued in Bahrain, Qatar and Muscat, and although the overprints were prepared for Kuwait, they were never issued. It is recorded that just five overprinted covers incl. these two registered items, were sent to England with Muscat Jamboree stamps. Photo. (Image1)
