Scarce, few covers carried on the Genoa flight, just two services flown over the altered itinerary in November. (6).

730 1930 (Aug/Sep) Jacobabad to Reti emergency R.A.F flights due to flooding, covers franked 1a flown from Jacobabad to Reti (Sep 1) or Reti to Jacobabad (Aug 12), and a 1a envelope flown from Jacobabad to Reti (Aug 21) redirected back to Jacobabad and also carried on the return flight, all with violet "EMERGENCY AIR MAIL" cachets. (3).

731 1931 (Feb 25) Imperial Airways first despatch to Africa sent entirely by air, covers to Assouan, Nairobi, Mwanza, Dodoma, Selukwe or Johannesburg all flown from Karachi to Cairo to connect with the East Africa service, also a March 7th cover to Mwanza carried on the first flight after the official Post Office notification of the service in India. The Dodoma cover a little stained, otherwise fine and scarce with very small postings to most destinations, three registered. (7).

740 1934 (Jan 20) Picture Postcards depicting Capt. C.D and Mrs Barnard in front of their aeroplane "The Spider", flown from Calcutta to Bihar and back, bearing Bihar Earthquake Relief Fund flight label tied by "THE FLYING CIRCUS" cachet, 3p + ½a stamps cancelled at Calcutta, one card signed on the front by Capt. Barnard, the other signed by his wife. Two uncommon signed cards. (2).

742 1934 (Dec 4) Indian National Airways Lahore to Karachi service, first flight covers from Lahore to Bahrain, Basra, Baghdad, London (2), Rangoon, Akyab, Penang, Kuala Lumpur, Tientsin or Christchurch, also a cover to Cape Town flown from Multan to Karachi and a cover flown from Sukkur to Karachi, the cover to New Zealand with Karachi-Lahore cachet applied in error and deleted, the cover to China with the Lahore-Karachi datestamps crossed through and "cancelled" written alongside. All fine, a scarce group, very small mailings to many overseas destinations. (13).

745 1934 (Dec 4) Covers bearing Chamba or Jhind stamps, intended for the Lahore to Karachi first flight, the Jhind cover registered from Sangrur sent by surface mail endorsed "State stamps are not available by air hence forwd by ordinary mail", the cover from Chamba flown. Also 1930 Patiala State 1a envelope bearing Patiala stamps to London with violet boxed "INSUFFICIENTLY PAID FOR / INDIA-LONDON AIR SERVICE"; and two 1933 (July 11/13) cover bearing Jhind or Chamba stamps both paid for air mail from Delhi to Karachi, the Jhind cover apparently flown, the Chamba cover sent by surface mail with the Air Mail label deleted by a handstruck cross. Minor staining but a scarce and unusual group. State stamps were not valid for air mail; however special permission was given for 62 covers bearing Chamba stamps to be accepted for the 1934 first flight between Lahore and Karachi. (5).

747 Quetta Earthquake. 1935 (June 4 - 12) Stampless covers endorsed "Earthquake area" or "Ex Quetta", one to Mashobra with enclosed letter, the other two to England (one with flap missing), two handstamped "QUETTA EARTHQUAKE POSTAGE FREE", one also with triangular framed "I.S." inspectors mark. (3).

748 1935-36 Covers from India to England all with boxed "TOO LATE FOR AIR MAIL" datestamps for Cawnpore, Sukkur or Delhi, the Cawnpore datestamp (2 Mar. 35) on a cover sent on the second Imperial Airways flight diverted from Athens to Malta due to political trouble in Greece, the Sukkur cover redirected to Switzerland with a G.B KEVIII 1d.
