EXTREMELY FINE. ONLY THREE COPIES OF THE $500.00 SERIES 1941 SILVER TAX ISSUE ARE RECORDED, AND THIS IS THE FINEST OF THE THREE. ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT SILVER TAX STAMPS IN EXISTENCE AND THE KEY TO A SIGNIFICANT COLLECTION OF THESE ISSUES.
The three recorded copies are as follows (listed by serial no.): 1) serial no. 6, typewritten cancel breaks paper in two spots, ex Joyce and Wampler, 2) serial no. 8, the example offered here, ex Cunliffe and Sohn, and 3) serial no. 12, manuscript cancel, ex Floyd.
