March, 2010
Eastern Auctions Ltd. - Mail Auction - March 3, 2010
Eastern Auctions second mail sale of 2010 closes on the 3rd of March with almost 5000
lots offered. This sale seems to have managed to develop quite a special personality of its
own. You will find that both our Canada/BNA and the USA sections have been nicely enhanced.
The Classic USA section is impressive; not only for the number of stamps, but also for the
quality and diversity offered. In Canada, the hard to find coil varieties are not often represented
as well as they are in this sale. Similarly, the Newfoundland section is outstanding, with many difficult to
find stamps.
This sale has strength in large lots. Collectors and Dealers alike would be
wise to budget some time to carefully review our descriptions. The competition for the larger USA and Canada lots is
always spirited. Of late we have noticed this enthusiasm is spreading into the Commonwealth and World Wide large lots
sections.
There is excellent potential for fun and profit for the person willing to commit the
time to focus on one or more of these larger items. Remember that “Est.” before a
price is an estimation of the actual cash value of a lot by one or more of our professional lotters.
Bidding is in Canadian Dollars; invoices for winning bids in other currencies will be adjusted. As always there is
No Buyer’s Premium and satisfaction is guaranteed. Bid with confidence.
