S.G. #2/646 |
S.G. #2/646, O1-17, Substantial mint collection of well over 500
stamps to 1977 in mounts on Scott pages, containing many stamps which are
not normally found in collection balances, particularly from the 19th
century, including 1857 1p Blue, 6p Brown, 6p Plum, 8p Brown and 1/9 Green
(some of these may be used), the perforated issues include the scarce 8p
Yellow brown rough perf., 1863 5p and 9p perf. 13, an excellent showing of
the 1863-67 Perf. 12 1/2 issues, with watermark and shade varieties, the
later Queen Victoria issues are also quite well filled, including the
1872-80 2c-96 Definitives complete and an unusually comprehensive showing
of the 1885-1899 Surcharges, Official issues are complete, the King Edward
VII and King George V definitives are complete to the 20R values, appears
complete from 1935 on, while there are some small faults or no gum on the
earlier issues, the condition picks up on the later items, which are mostly
o.g. and fine-very fine; the total catalog value will be rather high (Scott
