rose red, a lovely example of this enormously rare mint stamp, of which
only 240 were printed and the vast majority of these were used, in fact,
this is the first mint example of this value we have ever offered in our
auctions, and it has been reported that as few as five still exist in mint
condition, remarkably fresh and bright, with strong color on crisp
paper, o.g., lightly hinged, certainly very fine for this important British
Africa rarity; signed H. Bloch and accompanied by a 1985 Brandon
certificate (Scott #176; $12,350.00).
