S.G. #5/173 |
S.G. #5/173, Highly comprehensive mint collection of 164 different
issues from 1863 through 1966, with particular strength in the scarce Queen
Victoria issues, many of which catalog £100 to £600 each,
including 1863 6p Green, 1872 6p Blue green, 1879 2 1/2p Red brown and 4p
Blue, and many others, plus it is essentially complete from 1903 on, with
all of the long sets present such as both 1903-09 and 1908-17 Seal of the
Colony, the 1921-29 St. John's Harbor issues, 1932 Tercentenary, etc., in
addition to the straightforward singles and sets, we note some better
watermark and paper varieties; all appear to have o.g., only a small
inconsequential flaw or two on the earliest issues, overall a fine-very
fine and attractive collection with considerable catalog value involved |
