FINE-VERY FINE APPEARANCE. AN EXTREMELY RARE LARGE UNUSED ONE-CENT 1851 IMPERFORATE MULTIPLE FROM PLATE ONE EARLY.

The largest known block from Plate 1 Early comprises eleven stamps, followed in size by the irregular unused block of eight containing Position 7R1E, an unused and defective block of six (Pos. 51-53/61-631E) and seven or eight unused blocks of four (including the two offered here).

Blocks from Plate 1 Early are very rare. Only two used blocks are known. Three large unused blocks (six stamps or larger) and seven or eight unused blocks of four are reported. All of the unused blocks are believed to have faults.
