2058   Aviation and Military Autographs. Twelve items, mostly covers, incl. Eddie Rickenbacker (cover and check), Earle Ovington, Walter Henton, Alexander Seversky (helicopter inventor), Lt. Col Francis Gabreski (WWII "Ace" with 31 "kills"), Jimmy Doolittle, Jimmie Mattern, Generals Eaker and Wedemeyer and a 1961 typewritten letter signed (Admiral) H. G. Rickover written aboard the the nuclear carrier U.S.S. Enterprise during sea trials, he gives some of her vital statistics and says "she is the world's largest ship", he goes on to recite all of the nuclear-powered ships in the U.S. Navy including 23 nuclear submarines "now in operation, of which 6 are Polaris.", with a total of 61 nuclear-powered submarines authorized, we don't know if this information was classified in 1961, if it was, the KGB could have hung up their trench coats and simply put on their reading glasses, Fine-Very Fine lot of interesting autograph material E. 500-750
