FRESH AND FINE. ONLY SIX EXAMPLES OF THIS RARITY ARE RECORDED.
The authors of Canal Zone Stamps record only six copies. They state that one is possibly unused (it may have a light cancel) and all others are confirmed as used.

VERY FINE AND CHOICE. ONE OF THE FINEST EXAMPLES OF THE ONE-CENT 1904 MAP ISSUE WITH DOUBLE OVERPRINT.
According to Canal Zone Stamps, ten unused and eight used copies are recorded. Most of the unused copies have defects, including marks on the face, creases or other serious defects. The example offered here is in far better condition than most.
VERY FINE AND CHOICE. A RARE EXAMPLE OF THE "CANAL ZONE" OVERPRINT WITH THE "L" OF "CANAL" SIDEWAYS. ONE OF THE MOST UNUSUAL OF ALL CANAL ZONE ERRORS.
According to Canal Zone Stamps, this is the only example of a Canal Zone overprint where a letter is turned sideways. The authorities noticed the error, and went to the trouble of removing and destroying the one stamp from each pane. 920 were destroyed -- 17 unused and four used are recorded.
With 2003 P.F. certificate. As an indication of rarity, this is the first we have offered since keeping computerized records. (Image)
