Horizontal strip of five and four singles, Plate 1, margins to in, tied by red Maltese Cross cancels on folded letter datelined "Dublin 7 Septr. 1840" and addressed to Berlin, Germany, red "SE 9, 40" diamond backstamp, also Sept. 11 transit and Sept. 14 receiving oval datestamp, red ms. "4" silbergroschen credit, red ms. "9-3/4" rate marking, two G.B. Penny Blacks missing and with pair from Plate 5 added to the cover

VERY FINE APPEARANCE. A RARE USAGE OF THE GREAT BRITAIN 2-PENCE BLUE, COMPRISING A STRIP OF FIVE AND THREE SINGLES, ON A FOLDED LETTER FROM DUBLIN TO BERLIN.
