2001   image5c Brown (1 var). Huge margins all around, deep rich color as fresh as the day it was printed, detailed impression, light strike of blue town circular datestamp (probably Philadelphia)

EXTREMELY FINE GEM. A STUNNING EXAMPLE OF THE 5-CENT 1857 ISSUE, WITH RICH COLOR AND A RAZOR-SHARP IMPRESSION THAT SEEM TO JUMP OFF OF THE PAPER.

Based on the color, impression and blue town datestamp, this is probably a First Printing Dark Brown shade used from Philadelphia.
