FINE-VERY FINE. AN INCREDIBLY RARE PLATE BLOCK OF THE $1.00 PERF 10 UNWATERMARKED FRANKLIN ISSUE.
Our search of auction catalogues of major plate block collections has yielded precious few examples. Todd had two with full top selvage, and Wampler had one hinged with narrow bottom selvage. The Silver Lake collection contained a Mint N.H. top plate block, which may be unique in that condition.
With 1991 P.F. certificate (Image)
FINE-VERY FINE CENTERING. A BRILLIANT AND FRESH PLATE NUMBER BLOCK OF THE $2.00 MADISON PERF 10.

FINE-VERY FINE. AN EXCEEDINGLY RARE WIDE TOP PLATE BLOCK OF THE $5.00 MARSHALL 1917 PERF 10 ISSUE.
Scott Retail as hinged (Image)
EXTREMELY FINE. A BEAUTIFUL EXAMPLE OF THE 5-CENT IMPERFORATE ERROR IN A BLOCK OF NINE WITH THE ERROR STAMP MINT NEVER-HINGED.
During the course of production of the normal 2c plate No. 7942, three positions were noted to be defective. The plate was returned to the siderographer, who burnished out the three positions and mistakenly re-entered them using a transfer roll for the 5c stamp. The error passed unnoticed and the sheets were issued to the public Perf 10, Imperforate and Perf 11 (Scott 467, 485 and 505). The imperforate is by far the rarest of the three.
Ex Drucker. With 1981 A.P.S. and 2003 P.F. certificates (Image)
VERY FINE. AN IMPORTANT AND VERY RARE 20TH CENTURY VARIETY. PROBABLY UNIQUE AS A PLATE BLOCK.
This perforation variety is footnoted in Scott. Examples have been used to create the rare Scott 482A by trimming and adding Schermack Type III perforations. This is the only plate block with the imperforate sheet margin known to us.
