VERY FINE. A RARE USED EXAMPLE OF THE 2-CENT ROSE ENTIRE WITH BLUE INSIDE. THIS IS ESPECIALLY DESIRABLE WITH THE "MANI" MISSPELLING OF "MAUI" POSTMARK ERROR..

No examples of this rare spelling error were offered in either the Honolulu Advertiser or Aall sales.

4377° c image1882, 2c Black Postal Card (UX2). Perfect bold strike of "Honolulu Hawaii 14 Aug. 1885" double-circle datestamp (Ty. 281.01) and red "San Francisco Cal. Aug. 22" transit datestamp, to Santa Fe N.M. with message in Hawaiian, very faintly toned around edges, Very Fine, Gregory identifies this datestamp as a forgery of 281.01, which was normally used on registered mail, but this card usage seems genuine to us (Image) E. 150-200
