1598 image10c Green, Ty. IV (34). Positions 64-65L1, horizontal pair, left stamp recut at top and bottom, right stamp recut at top, rich color, neat strike of San Francisco circular datestamp, accompanying certificate states stained but we see only a few toned spots

FINE-VERY FINE. A RARE PAIR OF THE 1857 PERFORATED 10-CENT TYPE IV.

There is only one other location on the plate that produced a horizontal pair of Type IV stamps. This pair of positions is more desirable, because the left stamp is the only subject on the plate recut at both top and bottom.
