1937, Hindenburg Crash
Cover, May 6 (454, AAMC 37.3). Addressed to Kurt Pretzschner in New
Jersey, showing overall charring, the cover with its original enclosure is
several pages thick and shows varying layers of the burning which obscures
postmarks and leaves only a scarred trace of four 75pf and part of 50pf
stamp, part of contents are visible at lower right, large part of red
cachet and registered label are visible, the cover is contained in the
original cellophane Officially Sealed wrapper (opened on one
side) A RARE AND IMPORTANT PIECE OF AEROPHILATELY FROM THE WRECK OF
THE AIRSHIP HINDENBURG. A SUPERB COVER FROM ONE OF THE MOST FAMOUS AIR
