Huge collection of hundreds of stampless and stamped covers on annotated pages in albums and loose as acquired, primarily Essex County in six volumes arranged by post offices A to Z with town markings and various usages (some advertising covers), incl. 1860 covers from Pigeon Cove to Egypt, other mounted volumes comprise Andover, Beverly (incl. 1796 ship letter and 1864 to England with 12c 1861 pair and forwarded with G.B. 1p Red), Haverhill, Ipswich (incl. 1800 ship letter), South Reading (incl. 1828 from New Orleans with "Mail Route" arc), mixed condition to be expected in a study collection such as this, most of the stampless are Very Fine, a tremendous "must have" lot for the Massachusetts specialist E. 2,000-3,000
