Lombardy-Venetia, 1864-65, 5s Rose, Perf 9-1/2 (22) and Austrian Turkish Empire, 1867, 25sld Grey Lilac (6b) and 50sld Pale Red Brown, Perf 12 (7l), singles of each tied to cover by "Constantinopel 14/4" circular datestamps to Paris, Vienna (18/4) backstamp, top flap is weakened and refolded to accommodate 50sld which was applied over top of cover which subsequently caused a crease along bottom of stamp (ironed out)

FINE. AN EXTRAORDINARILY RARE MIXED FRANKING COVER.

VERY FINE. A REMARKABLE USED FRANKING OF FOURTEEN 50 SOLDI EXAMPLES.

The 50 Soldi was the highest denomination printed. Singles on cover are particularly scarce, let alone a franking of this magnitude which only leaves the mind to wonder what was being sent using these stamps.
