3493 og ImageJORDAN, 1951, 3m Carmine & Black, 20m Violet & Black, King Talal Accession Unissued Values. 3m with partial "salt'' cancel, 20m faintly hinged, 3m with tiny repair at bottom left corner (not noted on certificate)

FINE-VERY FINE APPEARANCE. THESE WERE NEVER ISSUED DUE TO THE KING'S ILL HEALTH.

These two stamps (along with three other values) were quickly withdrawn before they were issued. All were supposed to have been burned, but a tiny number of each value was saved from destruction. Most of the salvaged copies are damaged to some degree (some quite severe). These two examples are in far superior condition to most (particularly the 20m). The certificate for the 3m notes "the only used copy", though it was probably done by favor. Both with a 2001 Filatco certificate (Image)
