2718 nhbl Plate Blocks, Zip Blocks, Blocks of Four, 1930's -1990's. Massive mint collection housed in more than a dozen boxes, every block contained in a separate glassine and organized in rows, approx. half are plate blocks, also "Zip" blocks, "Mail Early" blocks, plain blocks of four, one box of singles on stock pages, three Lighthouse Albums with mint singles, a box of miscellaneous postage, a box of hundreds of unused entires and a few foreign plate blocks, much duplication within issues, a thorough count of numbers and face would take days but we estimate that there are more than 20,000 blocks plus the other unused stamps and entires, with face alone of more than $16,000 (with some items worth more than face), including a group of higher denominations in larger format blocks of 16, we recommend viewing and the buyer must carry the lot out, a Very Fine and valuable hoard, for many decades this dedicated collector harvested every plate and other format block from the sheets of postage used by his large family owned business
