As the sheet was being prepared, it was clear that an entire pane of the full design wouldn't fit on the plate, so the existing images were erased and the sheet was restarted with reduced designs. This is the only stamp of this issue from position 7 on the right side of the early state of plate 1 to retain the full type characteristics and also have the double impression of the erased first image. This lovely stamp has larger margins than most of this scarce issue showing nearly full type characteristics along with the lovely bright powdery blue color and with the added rarity of this stamp being sound; this stamp really has it all…. margins, color, condition… what more could you want in this issue??! .
