2871   image1936 (Dec 23), The Daedalus Mishap. The plane bounced on take off at Abecher, damaging its engine, undercarriage and lower wing. The mail was transferred to another aircraft which had to make a forced landing in the bush. A second aircraft, Delia, finally picked up the mail and flew it to Kano. This cover, England - Nigeria, posted 15 Dec, is one of only two known, Very Fine.
