 Graf Zeppelin Collateral: Propeller Part from Naval Zeppelin "L 31". 8¼" by 3 7 / 8', laminated wood, with plaque reading "Part of Propeller / Zep "L 31" / Potters Bar / 1-10-16";
few cracks and small piece out of rear of propeller, Fine to Very Fine.

L 31 was a German Naval zeppelin commanded by Captain Mathy. On Oct. 1, 1916 he joined in a raid on England by several zeppelins. About
8:00 PM the L31 was caught in the beams of three searchlights. 2nd Lieut. Tempest in his BE2c attacked and set fire to the zeppelin. The airship crashed with no survivors . (Image)
