WAR LETTER/ FREE ' and 'CENSORED/...MAJOR/GERMAN CONCENTRATION CAMP/LIVERPOOL NSW' cachets both in green, the latter signed "DO Griffiths Capt" (recorded -.4.1915 to -.05.1915 only), partial Liverpool cds of '24AP15', the reverse with superb '71' in
rosine & endorsed "Civil" in blue pencil that may not have been applied in Australia, apparently sent with the flap tucked-in. (Image1)

to sit his University of Sydney entrance exams with KGV ½d green & 1d red tied by 'BATHURST/NSW' cds, unusually routed via France where censored with 'CONTROLE POSTAL MILITAIRE' resealing labels affixed on three sides tied by 'OUVERT/15/...' oval

one a Herman Erhard & Co, Sydney envelope endorsed "SS Mataram via Brisbane", two Netherlands Consulate General, Sydney long-format envelopes with Kookaburra 3d blue and Kingsford Smith 6d violet solos respectively (both with vertical folds clear of
the adhesives), also 1931 Brettschneider stamp dealer envelope registered to "Pauru, Post Office Gizo" with Airmail 6d brown & 'OS' Overprint (small closed tear) and a private newspaper wrapper "c/- Levers PP PtyLtd, Karikana, Gavutu" with KGV 1d
green & Bridge 3d blue (small fault), condition a little variable but most are fine to very fine.

with KGV Heads 2d brown Die I Single Watermark solo franking (ACSC Cat $400) tied by 'OATLANDS/TAS' cds, minor edge faults & a light fold clear of the stamp & markings, a few marks on the reverse. The rate was double 1d per 2oz Commercial Papers. A
scarce stamp on cover: by the time they were issued, the letter rate had decreased to 1½d per 1oz; when it increased to 2d in 1930 these were quickly replaced by the 2d red Die III. (Image1) (Image2)

unframed handstamp, on arrival converted to "28f" in red pencil and Hungarian Postage Dues 8f red & 20f red affixed on the face tied by Budapest '933 SEP 4' cds cancels, these invalidated with '...ERVENYTELLEN' boxed handstamps and a further 8f & 20f
affixed on the reverse tied by Budapest cds cancels of the same day, a few edge faults not affecting the adhesives. The rate was 3d foreign letter.
