Australia National Antarctic Research Expeditions (ANARE) Department of Supply bronze medallion (54mm) obv. globe map of Antarctica
and Australia 'MAWSON. DAVIS. CASEY' below, rev. Coat of Arms 'DEPARTMENT OF SUPPLY ANTARCTIC DIVISION', edge impressed 'P. TUCKETT MAWSON 1970' in RAM case of issue.
The Antarctic Service Medallion, also known as the Winterer's Medal was retrospectively awarded in 1997 to expeditioners who wintered at one of the five research stations: Heard island, Macquarie Island, Mawson, Davis, & Wilks between 1948 to 1972.

leather (260mm x 400mm) wear to spine, marbled end sheets, 648 laid paper pages with 235 copper engraved illustrations of Roman coins, pages in remarkably fine condition. Weighs 3kg.
First published by Plantin in 1579 without illustrations, later edited by Francesco Mezzabarba of Milan in 1683. Adolph Occo (1524-1606) was a physician, philosopher and archeologist who helped establish Roman Numismatics as a field of study. A
