Unrecorded by Ron Butler and the only recorded example so it should be rated RRRRRR. Ex Don Pearce: sold for $5030 (Sale 247 Lot 84). Absent from 'Besancon'. Ron Butler, at page 79 states that the One Penny "is believed was never used by the Chief Secretary". Rated RRRR under Government Storekeeper but this and the next lot are the only recorded examples so it should be rated RRRRR. Ex Brown, Colonel Harry Napier and Don Pearce: sold for $7785 (Sale 247 Lot 91). RPSL Certificate (1965) issued many years before the 'G.S.' error was confirmed. One of the great errors - perhaps a double-error - of the Departmental series. Ron Butler listed both the 6d & 1/- with 'G.S.' Overprint in Red under 'Government Storekeeper'.
