Well formed predominately mint collection housed in Lindner album; Danzig mostly complete with first issue and complete mint, following surcharges with better, good 1920 2pf & 2½pf grays present (Scott 31-32) and 50pf of the same series (43), excellent completion thereafter including back-of-the-book, missing only the occasional value and a set, with some good n.h. noted including the 1924 building views high value (Sc. 199), 1930 Free State issue, etc., Memel in similar fashion in regular issues and most back-of-the-book, with much occupational including better later n.h., i.e. #N87 (cat $325) and #N90 (cat $375) with both signed; nice fresh material throughout.

2778 /o      Great Britain, Accumulation. One man's 70-year Accumulation of several hundred stamps in one stock book, starting with two 1-penny blacks, three 2-penny blues, several 6 & 7 embossed (faulty), numerous perforated Elizabeth I to include hard-to-find Scott #20b ($375), a key #23 ($1,150), Four plated examples of #69 (total $2,000), #105, 06 and 07 (total $1,015) beautiful examples of the 1883 and 1887 Victoria issues, and then near completion of Edward VIII, except for the highest values, but including $2,153 cat of Seahorses, through George VI with some few issues, and then on to QEII with several hundred used or mint, but mostly mint never hinged, including numerous Machins, to include regionals, closing with a very few modern Mint NH colonies. Although a few of the early stamps should be discounted for minor faults, many of the earlies are subject to premiums for rare plate numbers and neat and/or rare cancels, and many of the more recent stamps are subject to premiums for centering. Our consignor has identified the majority of the earlier stamps by Gibbons numbers, and we have identified the earlies by Scott numbers. Gibbons retail exceeds $60,000; Scott exceeds $40,000.
