Matched set of five upper panes of 80, each stamp with rhomboid perf-in as proofs, each multiple is mounted on a large cream card sheet for approval and 2 signatures, each multiple has the plate number "000001" and "010000" with letters A through D (1c, 2c, 4c, 5c & 10c), Very Fine, a unique set, these stamps were issued in 1908 and were used also during the Mexican Revolution.

Collection/hoard mounted and annotated on pages in a packed 3 ring binder of more than 200+ pages, mostly used with a smattering of mint comprising 3,750+ stamps, mounted by issue and value with concentration in Documentos y Libros issues, many varieties listed, double transfer, double perf etc, with many nice multiples, on piece, a multitude of district and municipal overprints and substantial and useful duplication that should yield more varieties, warrants inspection.

1167       imageMexico, 1892, 10c Vermilion, Advertising Sheet and Envelope. Entire addressed to Paris, France, canceled by "Veracruz, May 12.93" cds, with French "Ligne B" ship date stamp and Paris transit; couple trivial small tears around indicia window, Very Fine, a very rare foreign destination usage of this entire, accompanied by a pristine unused example. Higgins and Gage No. 38A.

These were printed as a special order containing a printed flyer with many advertisements and an embossed image of the 10c. The envelope has a cut die cut oval window revealing the indicia. The user would only pay 5c and the remaining 5c would be subsidized by the advertisers.

Of 8 covers and partial front; three are 1889-1903 stampless, official allover illustrated covers with departmental seal printed on flap, two plus the front have #O2 tied, a 1922 cover has 10c tied and Presidencia de la Repubilca corner card with national arms, two from 1930: one stampless, the other registered with 40c stamp tied, generally F.-V.F. or better.

1171       imageMexico, (Official Seals - Dead Letter Office) 1913-15 Rezagos (Dead Letter) Archive Covers. 16 covers sent between February 1913 and February 1915 all with Rezagos seals and most with accumulated postal markings applied after the contents were searched for information needed for attempted returns to sender (each ending in failure), markings include Lista, Mala Direccion, Recibida Abierta, No Reclamada, etc., three covers impacted by military events (Oficina Clausurada - P.O. closed) including the battles of Torreon and Monterrey and the occupation of Tampico, Fine.

Full margins, affixed on reverse of 1867 folded letter sheet sealing cover as usual, to Oaxaca with two strikes of Tuxtla script handstamp (Schatzkes 132) tying pair, front with additional strike and matching "Franco" handstamp (Schatzkes 132A); light cover edge wear and left stamp with sealed upper corner opening tear and small margin tear at lower right in pair, still Very Fine appearance, almost all covers of this issue show tears given the custom in Chiapas of sealing the covers with the stamps, signed J.K. Bash, with 1959 Bureau de Peritajes, 1992 and 2010 M.E.P.S.I. certificates.
