A very interesting holding of hundreds on page and stockcards with a very interesting selection of overprint and perf varieties and a very interesting selection of provisional stamps pushed into service in 1947, also included is the Israel Ancient Coin set to the 1000m (1-9) in top right corner plate blocks mint n.h., accompanied by examples of the "Yehuda" and "Eretz Yisrael" essays, both in red, a very fascinating collection with some scarce and elusive items.

Well formed parallel mint and used housed in Scott album; starting with near complete Coat of Arms issues (lacking rare #4) and includes the 50c orange used (unlisted in Scott), Map issues with a fairly extensive study of the surcharges with many multiples and better varieties present, 1906 Portraits including inverts and imperf pair set, later completion, back-of-the-book with good airmails, good registration, late fee with varieties, etc.; worth careful review.

3321 /o    19//40 Papua, "Lakatoi" Specialized Collection, 1907-1908. Which covers the small "Papua" overprint (19-26) and the small Papua (28-40) issues, several hundred mounted on quadrille page which are meticulously annotated, all values to 2s6p are included and in all cases, multiple example showing various plate flaws, upright and sideways watermarks, there are a good many mint multiples with many being plated, there are several with OS perfins and two items with double perf errors and much more, a superb holding with many better items in excellent condition with good color and centering, a very difficult study to undertake which undoubtedly must have taken years to put together.

Group of 25 complete sheets of 30 or 40, plus some large multiples, included are small "Papua" overprint 1p & 2p (20-21), small Papua in tablet ½p, 1p, 2½p and 4p (34,35, 37,38), the 4p sheet is used (probably CTO), large Papua in tablet ½p sheets one with watermark upright the second inverted,1919, 2½p (65), 1917, 1p on ½p (74) with J.B. Cooke monogram, 2p on 1½p (88) two sheet with both Harrison and Mullett imprints, 1930, Airmail 6p (C3) and more, although there is some toning on some of the sheets the majority are above the norm, a substantial holding with some better items.
