3185 /o      Italy, and Germany collections. In a binder. Best is Italy, a collection from 1862 to 1945 on album pages. Begins with a showing of 18 of the 19 listed 1924-25 stamps with advertising labels attached (#96b-1 OOf, 102b-87d), all but two are used, with a Scott value of $3,800, plus about a dozen duplicates, a difficult group to find. The album pages following have many better sets and singles, including #117-8, 142A-D, 165-70, C27, and Q1-6. Then a few hundred more on Vario pages for sorting. Germany consists of 500-600 stamps, 5 souvenir sheets, and a few postcards all on Vario pages. Most are F-VF appearing, unused are mostly hinged. Condition is mixed, especially on earlies, and careful inspection is recommended.

Lettercard Collection, 1921-1923. a very interesting selection of over forty letter cards each franked with either a 10¢, 20c, 25c or 40c semi-postal adhesive (B5//B13), a fantastic array of overall billboard advertising on both the inside and out, many types of advertising from a wide number of vendors, included are ads for Automobiles, Beverages, Furniture, Guns, Ship lines, Typewriters, and more, a good number are used, several with Certificates, condition is mixed, several with internal letter sheet missing, some with toning, many are in very fine condition, a valuable lot.

3188 /o      Italy, B.L.P. Advertising Letter card collection, 1921-1924. A very substantial selection of 22 cards, franked with values from the 10¢ to 40c semi-postals, all are mint except one which is franked with 10¢ (10) all tied on registered letter card from Milan to Rovigo, unfortunately with the address panel erased, all others are mint with both squared and rounded corners with a plethora of ads from automobiles, beverages, guns, shipping and more, some with very beautiful imagery; some have perf separation and small faults, overall most are very fine, a very scarce group not often found in these numbers.
Estimate; $1,500 - 2,000.

B.L.P. stamps were first issued in 1921. The letters stand for Busta Lettera Postale, and the stamps were used by War Casualty Charities at a discount rate on special envelopes.

Many hundred of stamps identified on stock cards, tremendous amount of catalogue value, a very wide selection of sets and singles which also included San Marino and Vatican, all of the Offices and Colonies are represented, some early Victor Emmanuel mint with certificates, a very substantial number of the sets from the 30's and 40's in many cases both mint and used, a good variety of airmail issues with 1933, Zeppelin set mint and used, 1934 set mint, very expansive number of the back of the book issues, ranges of Pneumatic post, Postage Due, Officials, Newspaper stamps and Parcel Post issues, a very valuable section of Vatican with 1934 overprint set mint as well as many of the set issued between 1933-1936, San Marino with a strong group of the first issues, both mint and used, condition is very mixed but there is a tremendous amount of value here, please inspect.
