3066       German Area, Third Reich Propaganda Cards, 1933-1945. Hundreds of cards in three ring binder pages, many with images of Hitler doing various things from addressing rallies to petting his dogs, a very good run of various Nazi buildings, many with soldiers in action fighting for the Fatherland, several cards promoting the Volkswagen, various tank, airplane, ship and submarine cards, also includes Churchill comic cards, some ephemera and more, an interesting selection, please inspect.

3067 /o/      German Area, 1935-1946. A very esoteric mix of hundreds of stamps and many covers; including 1935, Ostropa sheet on registered cover, a very interesting range of Hindenburg Zeppelin covers which includes flights Z400, Z405, Z410, a very unusual range of usages from the Occupation of Czechoslovakia, with a number of Locals on and off cover, an useful group of Austrian Local overprints in sets, as well as a cover from Vienna franked with the Hitler 12pf Death Mask propaganda label, an interesting range of propaganda postal stationery and some unusual cards and photographs of the 1936 Olympics, a very interesting lot, careful examination recommended.

3068       German Area, Concentration Camp Mail, 1939-1945. A selection of about 50 item in three ring binder pages, with covers from Auschwitz, Buchenwald, Dachau, Ravensbrück Sachenhausen and others, most are cards but included a telegram from Auschwitz in 1942, many of the cards and letters with content, a very interesting selection from this sad chapter in human history, condition is mixed, please inspect.

3070       German Area, German Zeppelin Postal History Collection, 1932-1936. A selection of over fifty flown covers with examples of many of the 10 Hindenburg flights, many colorful franking with a wide range of issues used, included are examples of the America and the Polar flight, a good number postcards with images of the vessel, of special interest is a cover franked with US $2.60 (C15) on Lakehurst flight cover with Pan-America flight cachet in purple, also included is Russia cover franked with 1931 30k and 1r imperf (C26, C28), on Polar flight cover from Leningrad and much more, a fascinating ensemble of items with many better items throughout.

Many hundreds on pages with all the States represented, Baden with values to the 9kr, a very good selection of the numeral cancels, some in red, along with boxed and circular date stamp, Bavaria with values to the 18kr and a very nice run of cogwheel cancels, Brunswick with a good run of the "Leaping Horse" issues, a very impressive number of Thurn & Taxis, both Northern and Southern Districts, many with bold numeral cancels, and much more, condition is mixed, please inspect, huge catalogue value, a good grouping with many interesting items.

A tremendous group of many with virtually all the states represented, a very wide range which include a 1663 cover from Wurttemburg with very elaborate script and sealed with a coat of arms, types of markings include straight line, horseshoe, boxed, double ring cds, half rounds and others, many of the cover are used within Germany but there are some going to other European countries and some are trans-Atlantic covers to the US, a good lot which need to be carefully examined, condition is mixed, please inspect.

Over 90 covers neatly mounted on exhibit pages housed in three 3 ring binder, the exhibit is subdivided into four parts which are further subdivided by types of markings and mail services within each period, the First Period: 1600-1774, includes courier service by horse or foot, postal rates and "Franco" markings in manuscript, manuscript town markings, early letters marked "return to sender" and early town cancels, Second period: under Thurn & Taxis Franchise 1775-1806, with one line postmarks with French prefix "De" or German "Von", Rayon types (accountancy convention with France 1801), Third Period: Royal Württemberg Postal Service 1806-1819, with straightline cancels with date, French Army Occupation letters, early registered mail with "Acknowledgement of Receipt", Fourth period: under management of Thurn and Taxis, 1819-1850, Chimney and Stirrup type cancels and much more, overall condition is above the norm for these, please inspect.

A very substantial holding of mostly mint, some used and a few covers on pages in 5 volumes; Germania issues very well represented, complete unexploded 3, 4 and 8 Mark booklets, advertising combination singles (7), tête-bêche pairs and multiples with many combinations, very strong showing of the semi-postal issues from 1925 onward with some complete booklets, panes and other combinations, all the 1930-31 airmail booklet panes 46B-49B (cat €1560) along with smaller multiples mostly mint but with some used, 1935 Ostropa sheet used (cat $825), one whole volume of the Hindenburg issues including full sheets, a few covers and much more; an excellent collection with much value and basis for further expansion.
