2966 /o      Canada, Revenue Collection, 1864-1956. Hundreds of stamps on pages with many for a very diverse number of uses, there are mint and used strips and blocks, precancels, condition is above the norm, included are 1864, First Bill Issue $2 and $3 mint (FB16-17), 1865, Second Bill set to the $3 (FB18-36) plus a small group of color trials of the lower denominations, 1868, Third Bill issue to the $2 mint (FB37-53) plus additional blocks of the lower denomination, a good selection of the Gas Inspection stamps with value to the $10 used (FG1//31), Electricity and Gas Inspection, KGV 1930 set to the $10 mint (FEG1-11), Weights & Measures, 1876 Crown 5¢ and 10¢ used (FWM1-2) with many of the later issues to 1930, Supreme Court, 1876 set to the $5 used less the 25¢ (FSC1,2,4-6), 1897, Widow 10¢ and $1 (FSC7-8) with several more to KGVI, Excise Tax values to $100 with a good number of the later re-valued issues to 28¢ mint, Provincial revenues, Tax Paids and much more, a solid lot with many better items. Mostly housed in Scott album and stockbook; Canada starting with 1851 3d & 6d issues with corresponding wove papers used, #8 mint and some later used cent issues, mint thereon with large Queen issues including 1¢, 2¢ & 5¢ with mostly complete small Queens including ½¢ plate block of 8, Jubilees to the 50¢, 1897 1898 Widowheads complete, Tercentenary complete and completion thereon virtually all n.h. with some later plate pairs and other marginal items, strong back-of-the-book including Official perfins, War Tax with better overprint issues, registration, due some revenues, etc., Provinces with B.C.&V.I. mint from #2 on including a selection of 1867 issues, mint Newfoundland with 1857 issues including 8d value, strong completion from 1861 on missing the occasional stamp hear and there, airmails with #C2-C3 & C12 present, Nova Scotia with used #1-4 and later issue imprint strips, mint P.E.I. with #2 and later issues complete, also stockbook with a mix of mint and used which does include a nice $2 Jubilee, also some block stock in glassines; a nice collection with condition a bit above the norm, 17 certs accompany.

A very significant holding on pages; very strong from KGV to KGVI nearly complete for the period with some duplication, nice ranges of coils and booklet panes both mint and used, also a very good run of Officials both perfin and overprint types including 1949, 50¢ (O9) n.h. with Greene Certificate, a very significant grouping of the 1898 Imperial Penny Post including a bottom corner block of 8 with imprint n.h., a very interesting group of "progressive proofs with plate positions" (scarce), also included are Nova Scotia 1d (1) and New Brunswick 3d (2) and 6d all with margins in, a very interesting and significant holding, careful inspection recommended.
