A RARE PROVISIONAL "PAID" STAMPLESS USE FROM WAILUKU BY INTERIM WAILUKU POSTMASTER J.M.
LEE.
The provisional "Paid" stampless usages from Wailuku, Maui are known in November 1889. The addressee, F.L. Stolz, is listed as the treasurer of the Kahului Rail Road in "Poor's Directory of Railway Officials and Manual of American
Street Railways Edition of August 1890" (New York), page 1256. F.L. Stolz was also the interim Postmaster at Kahului for only three months in 1889.
