1021 RM1 imageEmbossed Revenue Stamped Paper, 1755-57, Massachusetts Colonial Issue, ½d red, typographed. Nice sharp strike of red circular handstamp at lower right of the first page of the Monday, August 30, 1756 edition of The Boston Evening Post newspaper; portions of page margins added at sides and at top with end portion of paper heading drawn in, F.-V.F., this stamp was required on newspapers between May 1, 1755 and April 30, 1757, most of these stamps still in existence are on newspapers in major libraries.

Clear impression at lower left of arrest warrant ordered by a Judge of the Peace dated April 26, 1756, warrant for the arrest of a draft dodger who was paid and then failed to go to fight against the French and Indians at Crown Point as promised, Very Fine, the Crown Point battle was bloody and came to a draw.
