California…I did not have a chance to write you when I arrived at Panama for we got in there just at knight and left early the next morning. I have bot my ticket for NY in the Steerage for $30.00 in the Steamer Falcon she runs to Havana and
from there to New Orleans. I change boats at Havana and take the Ohio from there to NY it has cost me $157.20 including my passage to NY we crossed over to Gorgona the 23rd and down the river the 24th day out from San Francisco. I think ten days more
I will be in NY we stopt at two ports on the Pacific side, Acapulco and Rialjo the former in Mexico and the latter in New Grenada…There is two small Steam boats that runs part way up Thagrese River about thirty miles. I should think the
Rail Road is in progress there is two stations on the river where they are at work they have got quite a lot of the irons on the ground all already and a large quantity of ties.; some tone spots and edge nick, F.-V.F. Estimate; $200 -
