 US 244 $4 Columbian (PF Cert) MOG LH Rich Color F/VF = $2,000 Philatelic Foundation Certificate That which is most desirable for collectors of the stamps in this series is centering and
color along with gum condition. The intensity with which this fabulous example bosts its color cannot be overstated. The centering is clear of the design. A first hand examination will however make it clear that the disturbed gum mentioned in the
certificate is perhaps a bit unnecessarily highlighted even though it is described as "lightly".

It's also interesting to note that this cancel could hardly be a more clear and bold rendition. The stamp itself of an impeccable preserved state for a used Columbian typically printed on suboptimum paper. This one is both marvelous in this regard as
well as an extraordinary example of above average rich color retention for a used 'red' ink stamp.
