1934 (June 27), Pilot signed Attempted Non-stop Transatlantic Flight cover from New York to Warsaw,franked with 2c red Washington, tied by City Hall Annex, New York, machine cancel, and Polish 5gr Air Post tied by Warsaw c.d.s., with New York (27 Jun) transit and Warsaw (2 Jul) receiver on back, signed at upper left by pilots Benjamin and Joseph Adamowicz, a fresh and very fine example of mail from this was an attempted non-stop flight, which encountered difficulties en route and arrived in Warsaw on July 2, 1934. 1937 (April 19), First Airmail ‘Round the World’ San Francisco to Hong Kong, large cover with FAM #14 handstamped cachet, multi-franking with United States 25c & 50c Transpacific issues tied by New York GPO duplex cancellations, originally addressed to Amsterdam, Holland, with subsequent addresses added as the cover was forwarded around the world, with corresponding frankings of Brazil, the Netherlands, and Straits Settlements, reverse with a range of transit backstamps including San Francisco (21 Apr), Victoria Hong Kong (28 Apr), Amsterdam (10 May), D.F. France, 1600s/1800s, group of manuscripts, letters, and documents, the earliest being a large part document on vellum dated 1613, with much text clearly legible, 1702 document written in the name of "Louis, by the Grace of God, King of France and Navarre," (piece missing at one side likely from removal of seal), 1792 "Decrets de la Convention Nationale" dated 19 December, 1792, a month prior to the beheading of King Louis XVI, undated document pertaining to a divorce, over ten nineteenth century letters, cards, etc, many written to Admiral Mouchez, famed astronomer and director of the Paris Observatory, with some biographical information included, other similar items accompany, condition varies, with most of the nineteenth century items being sound, the earlier with condition issues as expected, a fascinating group for further study.
