686 CVR   image1919 (June 10), Alcock & Brown transatlantic flight cover, with contents signed by J. Alcock, cover with T.J. Duley & Co. corner card, franked with $1 Trans-Atlantic surcharged issue, tied by St. John's machine cancel, to Brighton, South Devon, typed "Trans-Atlantic Air Mail per 'Vickers Machine,'" notation, accompanied by a letterhead of J.L. Duley, written on and signed by Alcock, outlining the key dates of the flight, including departure on June 14, 1919, and arrival details with distances traveled, the cover with some fading and tone spots in places, the letter separated and reinforced with archival tape, but a rare and early pioneer flight cover, one of 196 such examples carried on the flight, particularly desirable with the signed enclosure; with photograph of 1992 Diena expert certificate, noting the cover is "genuine and the stamp in perfect condition."
