410 nh 78S-86S image1897–1901 Royal Family and 1908 Map SPECIMEN issues, complete set of 47 singles, never hinged, each with red or blue SPECIMEN overprints, accompanied by a detailed table compiled by dealer Ed Wener, who acquired the group directly from the American Bank Note archives sale; the table documents each overprint by the date it was added to the archive, spanning from October 1897 to May 1918. While the 1908 Map stamp is not formally part of the Royal Family issue, its inclusion is justified by identical overprinting and presentation—three specimens of the Map stamp are included. A scarce and important group, a superb addition to any serious Newfoundland collection, overall fine to very fine. (Scan 1) (Scan 2) (Scan 3) (Scan 4) (Scan 5) (All Scans)
