1956 Set of Officials Printed on Granite Paper, the complete set of 5, all in mint never hinged and fresh condition. The first 4 values appear to be Type II (Michel drawing 4 with compass button open) and the 40pf value Type I (Michel drawing 2, with compass button closed) partly based on the number stamped on the back by the expertizer, which would make them catalogue €6,950 in Michel (but listed here as "regular" Scott issues. Group of 14 1945 Herrnhut Emergency Overprint Issues, overprinted by G. Winter, with the 1pf, 3pf, 4pf, 6pf (x2), 8pf (x2), 10pf (two, one without gum is signed STURM JBG and Zierer BPP, and the other hinged is signed Richter), 20pf and 24pf (both hinged and signed STURM JBG and Zierer BPP), 25pf, 30pf and 60pf (this one with only 80 stamps overprinted). A rare group, issued in very small quantities of between 80 and 2,000 stamps. The 10pf, 20pf and 24pf values are listed in the Michel footnote, and valued there "between €500 and €1,500" and we have thus valued all three at the lowest of the range. 1882 3a Orange Numeral, Perforated 14 x 13½, with "Small 3", a mint block of 30 hinged onto a quadrille page with "double 3" variety in positions 65 and 70 (first is hinged and second is NH, with a Facit catalogue value of 4,000 SEK for both), plus a few other varieties not listed. The block is quite fresh and very fine (with separation in several places) and holds 14 lightly hinged stamps and 16 never hinged stamps (Scott basic c.v. for this block is $3,675). Includes another (separated) block of 80 with sheet margin on three sides, which includes 10 hinged stamps and 70 NH but also 15 with tone spots, leaving 56 NH and sound stamps.
