1560 O/og/nh   imageMint and Used Collection to 1987, in two parts. One Erka album holds a mainly used collection to 1972 with few stamps before 1924 and back of the book issues starting in 1952; about 75% complete from 1950 to 1972. Then, a set of 4 KA-BE "Bi-Collect" albums covers the period 1945 to 1987 and hold parallel mint and used collections on the same pages. The mint stamps are mostly mint never hinged from 1971 on. Completion of this collection is about 90% for regular stamps in period. We noted mint and used Scott B294-9 (c.v. $164). Overall nice quality, see scans for a small taste. 1561 O/og/nh   imageCollections of France and Belgium in Two Stockbooks, the France collection contains about 1,100 stamps, with minor duplication. There are about 45 pre-1900 issues, and later better values include used 311-12, B91, C13, etc. Mint hinged features 129-31, B4, B19, B74, B97-100, etc., and there are a few better NH noted:372, B17, B80, etc. Also, there are over 20 large size Art stamps. The Belgium collection has hundreds of stamps, mainly used, with a concentration in Semi-Postals, Parcel Post, and railway stamps. Overall fine to very fine. 1562 O/og   imageMint and Used Collection on Home Made Pages in a Springback Album, 1852-1972, starts off with a selection of 16 used Céres or Napoléon perforated and imperforate issues (some have faults), followed by nice basic used sets of Peace and Commerce, Blanc, Mouchon, Rights of Man, Sowers, and so on up to the 1930s, where some of the sets start to be missing stamps. We estimate the collection from the 1930s to the end to be about 50 to 60% complete, with many complete sets, and a mix of mint and used. We noted only a few back of the book issues, and no souvenir sheets. Overall fine to very fine. (Scan 1) (Scan 2) (Scan 3) (Scan 4) (Scan 5) (Scan 6) (Scan 7) (Scan 8) (Scan 9) (Scan 10) (All Scans)

Also present are some better mint never hinged stamps, such as 22, 138-42, 624, B249-54, B276-81, B285-90, B294-99, C7, C8-11, C22, C23-27, C29-32, J80-92, J93-97, etc. As well as these listed stamps, the collection contains a quite complete run to 1999, including back of the book issues, and is lacking 3 early souvenir sheets. From 1939-1999, all of the issues checked are NH. There are also 120 used stamps from 1849 to 1930 which would add considerably to the catalogue value given, which is for the mint stamps only. A lovely collection, overall fine to very fine. We have 50 photos on our website for those who cannot make it in to view. (All Scans)

1567 O/og   imageCollection and Accumulation of 280 Used Céres and Napoléon Classics, on 8 stock pages. The collection starts with France #3 and goes to #63. It includes multiple copies of most stamps in that range. One Bordeaux 40c stamp (Scott 47 c.v. $425) is mint hinged and signed by expert Calves. Three other items from the Bordeaux issue are shown on our first scan: one 30c with a spectacular pre-printing paper fold, a black-brown copy of 43a (c.v. $200) and a very fresh on-paper single of 43 (c.v. $550). We catalogued the whole lot as the least expensive of the varieties, for each catalogue number and came to a total of $13,250. True value will be considerably above that number since lots of paper and shades varieties are present and some cancels are worth a premium. No value was assigned to the 5 essays for Sc #6, which usually retail in the $50-$100 range each. The collection also includes a used 5fr Napoléon, which appears to be rebacked, etc. (not counted in c.v.). Condition is generally fine to very fine, though small faults are present here and there. The complete lot is shown on our scans. (Scan 1) (Scan 2) (Scan 3) (Scan 4) (Scan 5) (Scan 6) (Scan 7) (Scan 8) (Scan 9) (All Scans)

1575 O   imageValuable Used Collection to 1960 on Stock Pages, in one large binder. Starting with a pen cancelled Scott 12 (c.v. $165) the collection shows a high completion rate for regular and semi-postal stamps and also includes other back-of-the book issues. We also noted 14 (c.v. $110), B23-7 (c.v. $151), B49-57 with 55a instead of 55 (c.v. $287), B310-3 (c.v. $130) and B320-3 (c.v. $110). In fact most of the semi-postals from the post-war period to 1960 are present. A very high quality collection, where even the earlier issues are all fresh and well-centered and with legible socked-on-the-nose cancels. We scanned all of the pages in this lovely collection. 1579 O/nh   imageMint and Used Collection and Accumulation of Germany and Berlin 1980-1999, in 5 stockbooks. This lot is mainly comprised of 3 copies of probably each regular or semi-postal stamp and souvenir sheet issued in Germany and Berlin within the period. Note that we did not verify completion. Up to 1995, in certain years only, one of the 3 copies is cancelled to order, from 1995 to 1999 all copies are mint never hinged. However, the number of copies, both mint and used is often higher up to 1985. In addition a group of about 90 automatic dispenser stamps of various values to 3DM is also included.
