LotNo. Symbol Cat No. Lot Description
881 O 20 image1857 1d Red Queen Victoria Perforated 14 Plate Reconstruction, consisting of 240 stamps, plus another 5 stamps identified as varieties by the owner, showing all the plate letters (AA-TL), housed in a small Great Britain Reconstructed Plate album published by The Philatelic Magazine in London, England. After a spot check of perforations, we catalogued all 245 stamps at the cheapest value (perforated 14, Scott c.v. $11.50 for each). The album comes with a Third Award certificate from 1935 from the Pasadena Stamp Society. Some staining on the album that affects the first 5 pages but does not affect the stamps. Overall, a fine and difficult collection to duplicate, ideal for collectors and Penny Red specialists. (Scan 1) (Scan 2) (Scan 3) (Scan 4) (Scan 5) (All Scans)

882 O 33 image1864 1d Red Queen Victoria, Perforated 14 Plate 150 Reconstruction, all used neatly laid out on home made album pages. We note a few small faults, plate position 240 in the reconstruction is present as an 'LS' instead of 'LT'. Plate reconstruction's of this value are difficult, even more so, when all the stamps have to come from the same plate number. Overall fine.
