310   imageLarge Lot of Federal Excise Tax Revenue Meters, in four envelope boxes containing a total of over 8,000 (conservatively counted) early 1950s cheques from "Canada Life Assurance", the vast majority franked with van Dam listed (page 119) 3c red type "H" meters (meter #149007). The 2017 catalogue values these at $10 and up, so total catalogue value is about $80,000 for the lot. These are the first we have handled, and may possibly be the only such holding around, so would be a perfect lot for the collector or dealer. (Scan 1) (Scan 2) (All Scans)
