Collection of 116 St Petersburg Numerical Cancels, 1881 to 1906, mostly all in sleeves with catalogue number and date written on a label. A lovely collection, with many different varieties for numbers from 1 to 14 plus some roman numerals and
includes some in colour. Majority are stationery cards and picture postcards but we also note several covers, with both domestic usages and international (mostly European countries). Many of the cards are uprated by stamps and there is a good variety
of frankings, not to mention postmarks. Accompanied by useful literature on the subject, including articles and a copy of the catalogue used to differentiate these fascinating postmarks. Overall very fine lot, scans only show a small sample. Rsv.
