1631 CVR United States imageGroup of Over 90 First Flight Covers, 1918 to 1932, plus a few more modern odds and ends. With a good variety of material but unfortunately a number of them have gotten damp due to poor storage, so some stamps and some backflaps have become detached, as well as some black staining where backflaps used to be. Many of those stamps and backflaps are inside their respective envelopes but some are loose and gathered in a glassine, so some archeological work will be required. Non the less, there are a number of better flights, including three 1927 Emergency Flood covers, two 1925 covers Los Angeles to Bermuda (all 5 of which which were in Mr. Pont's exhibit), a 1934 First Transatlantic Flight to Poland signed by pilots, inspection could be rewarded. See scans for a few of the nicer items. From the L. V. Pont Collection of India Airmails. (Scan 2) (Scan 3) (Scan 4) (Scan 5) (Scan 6) (Scan 7) (All Scans)
