1555 O/og United States imageMostly Used Collection From 1851 to 1996, in two Seal albums with slipcases. Sparsely filled before 1938, then about 70% complete to the end. The back of the book appears well populated with airmail, registered mail and postage dues issues. A nice clean collection with some faults noted on earlier material. Also included are tens of thousands of used United States stamps off paper compactly housed in "zip lock" style bags. A large proportion of these are definitives from early to modern. Starting with a collection of mint commemorative plate blocks on White Ace pages in two albums, a small collection of mint blocks from the 1920s and 1930s mounted on quadrille pages in a spring back album. Also included is an old time worldwide stamp collection, displayed in a sparsely filled Triumph album, about 40 U.S. Bicentennial souvenir sheets, a lot of on and off paper United States stamps in a stockbook, one small box and about twenty glassines, over one hundred blank postal stationary and postal cards (from 1970s heavy duplication), about 60 first day or commercially used United states covers. We noticed many items have adherence issues due to improper storage. (Scan a) (Scan b) (Scan c) (All Scans)

1561 O/og/nh United States imageExtensive Mostly Mint Collection in Six Albums, 1847 to 2013, left intact as received, and probably the most complete we have ever handled. The collection is in six Mystic albums (stamps are in black mounts) with matching slipcases, and has a mix of mint and used up to the 1890s, then predominantly mint to the end, with never hinged starting fairly early on. The collection is essentially complete for regular issues from about 1870 and on (with much material before then), and includes lots of extra material such as coil pairs and singles, souvenir sheets, a few plate blocks, booklet panes and booklets, printings and varieties, blocks, self-adhesive mini-sheets, and more. There are numerous expensive stamps throughout (many in the several hundreds to thousands of dollars), both in the early period as well as in the modern period, with way too many to list, so we have scanned the first 150 pages online to give an idea. The back of the book sections were lotted separately. A lovely collection, with an enormous catalogue value (not to mention the huge face value), and overall fine to very fine, except in the early period where stamps may have no gum, or hinge remnants, or trimmed perfs, etc. We counted the face value for 2011 to 2013 only, which adds up to US$397 (including 517 Forever stamps). A great opportunity for continuation, or for dealers to break up and resell. 1568 O/og/nh United States imageExtensive Mint and Used Collection in Six Lighthouse Albums with Slipcases, 1850s to 2005, with pages to 2007. Starts off with the usual mixed quality classics, although we noted a few large margined copies and nice postmarks. The collection appears to be mostly used with nice postmarks to the end, and once in a while the collector added a blank page to catch up with mint issues and sets. Many of the souvenir sheets and the booklets in the modern era are mint, which would add to the face value alone. The back of the book is near complete for air mails, postage dues and special delivery, missing the Zeppelins, and we note some additional booklet panes, blocks and more. The owner catalogued the collection at $13,648, which does not include the back of the book, but which is also a little high on the first few pages (some misidentified and/or poorer quality early stamps). A close inspection should reveal nice quality throughout, and a high level of completeness.
