The face value given of £1,120 is for most of the decimal issues (low values and postage dues not counted) and does not include the few pre-decimal stamps included. 1476 og/nh Great Britain Machins imageExtensive and Valuable Lot of Mint Machin Heads, this lot has the advantage of having its thousands of stamps identified, either by Scott or GB or both, many with printer name, gum type, etc. Starts with a stack of 102 cards identified and retail priced at $363. Followed by a large number of stock pages and album pages full of mint material, which the owner purchased over a period of 15 years from a number of sources in England. There is probably going to be duplication, but the sheer variety of material is important, including phosphor varieties, booklet panes and booklet position singles, printings, shades, high denominations, some cylinder blocks, Regionals, and much more. Certainly a wide enough range of material here to start or significantly extend a Machin Head collection. The face value alone would be significant, not to mention the high catalogue value, overall very fine. See scans for a very small sample. 1480 O/og Hong Kong and Singapore imageMint and Used Collections in an Album. The Hong Kong collection spans the years 1862 to 2000, and starts with a full page of Queen Victoria, Kings Edward VII and George V. Most of the high value Queen Elizabeth definitives are included. The collection is mainly used though some commemorative set from 1967 are MH or MNH. Completion is very high throughout. The Singapore collection is a mixture of used and mostly MH; it goes to year 2000. We noted George VI Silver Wedding set, $5 value used, the MH 1971 Singapore Festival souvenir sheet and many later commemorative set. Two great collections as basis for completion. A few small faults noted on earlier material. (Scan a) (Scan b) (Scan c) (Scan d) (Scan e) (Scan f) (Scan g) (Scan h) (Scan i) (Scan j) (Scan k) (Scan l) (All Scans)

Most of the material is from the period 1890 to 1920 but there also is a group of 33 Branch Offices cancels on pieces from the 1960s and 70s.
